A Great Success

The "Keep On..." benefit concert was a great success, raising approximately $2000 for the Emilio Nares Foundation, a San Diego-based kids' cancer support network. Richard and Diane Nares, founders of ENF, were present throughout the event.

The Solana Pacific School Auditorium served as the beautiful venue for this fun concert event, accommodating an audience of 200, a professionally-sounded stage, dance floor, and activity areas.

11-year old Martin Quiroga served as MC and ran the show like a pro keeping the audience well-informed of the evening's activities.

The 15-member Youth Arts Academy Jazz Band opened to a full house and "WOW"ed the audience with their upbeat and exceptionally-played music, under the direction of Chris Conner.

Headliner, Mike McGill and his band (bass player Jared Gianquinto and drummer Jim Woodruff) thrilled the audience with foot-tapping songs that delighted the entire family, young and old. The kids were instantly drawn to the stage to listen and dance to the mesmerizing songs.

Balboa International Market provided delicious hot sandwich meals for all.

The Beadilicious Ladies offered hand-crafted genuine Fender guitar-pick jewelry, with all proceeds going to the Emilio Nares Foundation. Their booth was teaming with kids lined up to get temporary tattoos and jewerly.

Mike McGill's 2 CDs, "Keep On" and "Enjoy the Journey" were sold with all proceeds going to ENF.

Thanks to the community for coming out and participating in this great cause.

With appreciation,
The Emilio Nares Foundation
and
The Amini Family
